Thomas Edwards (1922-1969) was born in Richmond, Virginia. "It's All in the Game" was his biggest hit and was #1 on Billboard and R&B charts the year of its release in 1958. The song was composed in 1912 by Charles G. Dawes, later to be a U.S. Vice President. The lyrics waited until 1951 to be written by Carl Sigman.
